One of the most expansive beaches in all Cantabria if we join it with Somo, it is kilometers long, one of the reasons why Loredos famous derby is held each year the second Sunday of every August. The Derby consists of various horse races ranging from amateur to professional and is a wonderful sight to witness. Loredo beach has many different types of surroundings depending on how you want to spend your time, whether you want to sunbathe or are with children, there are places to escape the wind or to be more secluded or walk or do sports such as surfing or diving. Loredos views are beautiful too, on on hand you can see the city of Santander in the distance and on the other you have wide open sea.
